Set as Shipped
How to mark an order as Shipped by hand with the Order Shipped popup, entering the courier and the tracking number.
Before you start
- The order is Pending or Ordered on the Orders page. For other statuses the Shipped entry doesn't appear in the status menu (Order statuses).
- You have the tracking number of the shipment and know which courier carries it.
- If the order is Monitored, Droopify already reads the number from the supplier and sends it to eBay: you don't need to set it by hand.
- If an automatic order is running for the order, the change is refused until it ends.
Setting the order as Shipped
- In the Status column open the status menu and pick Shipped. Order Shipped opens.
- In Shipping courier pick the courier from the list of couriers accepted by eBay; you can search it by name.
- In Tracking Number enter the number. Courier and number are required.
- Leave Send message on to write to the customer, or turn it off, and check the text.
- Tick Set as Shipped only on Droopify if you don't want to send anything to eBay.
- Press Set as Shipped. The order status has been updated to Shipped successfully. appears.
Send message
The text and the Send message switch start from the Shipped message set in the eBay store for the order's region and supplier (Automatic messages). Changes made in the popup only apply to this order.
In the text you can use {buyer_first_name}, {product_title}, {feedback_url}, {shipping_courier} (the courier you picked) and {tracking_code} (the number you entered): they are replaced with the order data.
Orders from Amazon or AliExpress
For an order you buy from Amazon or AliExpress, don't mark it as Shipped by hand: link it to the supplier order with Connect Order. Droopify reads the tracking by itself, converts it to Aquiline Tracking (when needed) and sends it to eBay.
Marked by hand, the order is not monitored and the number goes to eBay as you wrote it, without conversion. A typical sign of this mistake is a Shipped order with the Amazon Logistics Europe courier and an Amazon link instead of the number: eBay doesn't accept it as a tracking number and the Resolve Issue button appears under the order.
To fix it: open the order details, press Reset Order (it goes back to Pending and the tracking numbers are removed) and link it with Connect Order.
On eBay or only on Droopify
| Choice | What happens |
|---|---|
| Not ticked | The order becomes Shipped and Droopify sends courier and number to eBay exactly as you wrote them, without tracking codes conversion |
| Set as Shipped only on Droopify | The order becomes Shipped only in Droopify; nothing changes on eBay |
If eBay refuses the courier or the number, Unable to set the tracking code for the order on eBay. Click here to resolve the issue. appears under the order: check the data in the order details and click the link to try again.
Order already monitored
If the order is already connected to a supplier order, the popup shows the warning Are you sure you want to manually update the order? The order is already connected to monitoring, which could cause issues with tracking.
Possible errors
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Please select a shipping courier before proceeding. | Pick the courier |
| Please enter a tracking number before proceeding. | Enter the number |
| You can't perform this action: an automatic purchase is in progress for this order. … | Wait for the automatic order to end or stop it with Cancel Purchase |
If the operation fails, the popup shows the reason instead of the success message: a Droopify message, like those in the table, or eBay's text as it is. In this case the order status is not updated: fix the problem shown and try again.
