Edit a listing's price and quantity
What the Price tab of the edit popup of a listing or variant contains, and what happens when you change each field.
Opening the Price tab
- In the Inventory click the listing row or the yellow Edit button. For a listing with variants open the group row and click the variant: price and quantity are changed on each variant.
- In the popup click the Price tab.
The other tabs are explained in Edit a listing.
Availability and quantity fields
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Stock Monitoring | If off, availability no longer follows the supplier's |
| Default Quantity | Units offered on eBay when the product is available |
| Availability | Available or Not available. If you change it by hand, Droopify stops updating it from the supplier |
Price and profit fields
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Price Monitoring | If on, the selling price follows the supplier's price keeping the profit you set; if off it stays fixed |
| Selling Price | If you change it, Droopify recalculates profit and fees |
| Purchase Price | Read only |
| Variation Type | % (Percentage of cost) or Unit (Fixed profit) |
| Profit Percentage / Unit (Fixed profit) | The field name follows the Variation Type. If you change it, Droopify recalculates the selling price |
| Price Cents | Fixed cents of the price. If you type a price with different cents, the fixed cents follow and a warning appears |
| VAT (%) | Editable only if the store has a business account |
| eBay Fees | Estimated fees and profit |
A negative profit is allowed: the warning "Warning: you are setting a negative profit, you will sell at a loss." appears.
The (Edited) mark in the Price tab
Next to fields changed by hand (Edited) appears; hover it to read the effect:
- on Availability: Droopify no longer updates it based on the supplier;
- on Variation Type, profit, Price Cents and VAT (%): the listing no longer follows the store's price settings, and when the supplier's price changes the selling price is recalculated with the listing's values.
Reset Changes brings every field of the listing back to the supplier's and store's values. How both monitorings work: Price and stock monitoring.
Saving price changes
Click Save Changes. Once eBay has received the changes "The listing has been saved successfully." appears and the table refreshes; if eBay rejects the new price or quantity the popup stays open and shows the error message. To change price and quantity of several listings at once use Bulk edit listings.
