Set as Ordered
How to mark an order as Ordered by hand with the Order Ordered popup, when you purchased the product from the supplier without the automatic order.
Before you start
- The order is Pending on the Orders page: from Ordered on, the entry no longer appears in the status menu (Order statuses).
- If you purchased on the supplier's website, consider Connect Order first: it connects the purchase and Droopify updates the status by itself.
- If an automatic order is running for the order, the change is refused until it ends.
Setting the order as Ordered
- In the Status column open the status menu and pick Ordered. Order Ordered opens with the image, title and Order ID.
- Leave Send message on to write to the customer, or turn it off.
- Check or edit the message text.
- Tick Set as Ordered only on Droopify if you don't want to change anything on eBay.
- Press Set as Ordered. The order status has been updated to Ordered successfully. appears.
Send message
The text and the Send message switch start from the Ordered message set in the eBay store for the order's region and supplier (Automatic messages). Changes made in the popup only apply to this order.
In the text you can use {buyer_first_name} (customer's first name), {product_title} (product title) and {feedback_url} (link to leave feedback): they are replaced with the order data. The customer receives the text as an eBay message.
On eBay or only on Droopify
| Choice | What happens |
|---|---|
| Not ticked | The order becomes Ordered and Droopify marks it as shipped on eBay, without a tracking number |
| Set as Ordered only on Droopify | The order becomes Ordered only in Droopify; nothing changes on eBay |
If eBay doesn't accept the shipment, Unable to mark the order as shipped on eBay. Click here to resolve the issue. appears under the order: click the link to try again.
Order already monitored
If the order is already connected to a supplier order, the popup shows the warning Are you sure you want to manually update the order? The order is already connected to monitoring, which could cause issues with tracking. In this case Droopify updates the status by itself: change it by hand only if the supplier data is wrong.
Possible errors
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| You can't perform this action: an automatic purchase is in progress for this order. … | Wait for the automatic order to end or stop it with Cancel Purchase |
| The order was not found. Check the entered data and try again. | Reload the Orders page and try again |
If the operation fails, the popup shows the reason instead of the success message: a Droopify message, like those in the table, or eBay's text as it is. In this case the order status is not updated: fix the problem shown and try again.
