FAQ › Orders and Profits

Why is the order's purchase price different from the supplier's price?

1 min read

An order's Purchase Price is the product price Droopify knew at the time of the eBay sale: if the supplier changes it afterwards, it no longer matches what you see on the website.

The supplier changed the price after the sale

Amazon and AliExpress prices can change at any time and Droopify checks them periodically. The more time passes between the sale and the purchase, the more likely the price has changed: purchase orders as soon as possible, or use the automatic order (Purchase Product).

The automatic order updated the price

When the automatic order on Amazon reaches checkout, the Purchase Price is replaced with the actual cart price and the profit is recalculated. If the loss reaches the supplier account's Maximum loss limit, the automatic order stops (The automatic order doesn't start). With Connect Order on an AliExpress order, the price is taken from the AliExpress order.

Supplier discounts and coupons

If the product had a coupon or a discount when Droopify read it, the Purchase Price already includes it. If the discount has expired, the price you pay will be higher.

US region orders

For US region orders, the Purchase Price also includes an estimate of the US sales tax, so it is higher than the price shown on the product page.

Correcting the price

Open the order, go to the Edit tab, enter the Purchase Price you paid and click Save Changes: the profit is recalculated. The change only applies on Droopify (Order details).
