What profit percentage do you recommend?
It depends on how much you want to sponsor your listings: high sponsorship needs high profits, low sponsorship works with medium profits. The values below are starting points, to adapt to your products and results.
How profit works in Droopify
With Variation type set to Percentage, the profit is a percentage of the purchase price and is net of eBay fees. Sponsorship, instead, is not included in the price: when a sponsored listing sells, the sponsorship fee is taken from the profit. That is why the profit must stay higher than the sponsorship percentage. Values are set per purchase price range in Price ranges, in the store's Prices & Stock tab (Prices and promotions).
High profits with high sponsorship
More visibility on eBay, with a Sponsorship percentage around 10-15% (Automatic sponsorship).
| Purchase price range | Profit percentage |
|---|---|
| From 0 to 10 | 85% |
| From 10 to 25 | 50% |
| From 25 to 50 | 40% |
| From 50 to 100 | 35% |
| From 100 up | 30% |
Medium profits with low sponsorship
A balance between price and profit, with a Sponsorship percentage between 2% and 5%.
| Purchase price range | Profit percentage |
|---|---|
| From 0 to 10 | 35% |
| From 10 to 25 | 35% |
| From 25 to 50 | 35% |
| From 50 to 100 | 30% |
| From 100 up | 25% |
After a few weeks, check the actual profit of sponsored orders on the Orders page and adjust the ranges if needed (Why does my order show a negative or wrong profit?).
