# Sending an offer

> How to send a 5% discount offer from the Droopify Offers page to customers who saved an eBay listing: message, {product_title} and possible errors.

With the **Send Offer** popup you send an offer with a 5% discount to the customers who saved one of your listings to their favorites.

## Before you start

- The listing must appear on the [Offers](https://docs.droopify.co/en/offers) page.
- If you want to use the store message, set it in the **Automatic Messages** tab of the eBay store settings, for the listing's region and supplier: it is the **Listing offer** message, with its switch on ([Automatic messages](https://docs.droopify.co/en/ebay-store-messages)).

## Fields of the Send Offer popup

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Use default message** | On when the popup opens. Sends the eBay store's **Listing offer** message. If that message is turned off or empty, the offer is sent without a message |
| **Custom Message** | You can write in it only when you turn off **Use default message**, and then it is required: without text the offer is not sent |

In the message, custom or from the store, you can write `{product_title}`: the customer receives the listing title in its place.

The yellow box reminds you that the offer stays locked for 48 hours: even if price or shipping times change in the meantime, the customer can buy under the conditions of the offer.

## Sending the offer

1. On the **Offers** page click the green button with the coupon icon in the listing row, or click the row.
2. Leave **Use default message** on, or turn it off and write the **Custom Message**.
3. Click **Send Offer**.

## What happens next

The button keeps loading until sending is over. If eBay accepts the offer, **The offer has been sent successfully.** appears, the popup closes and the list refreshes.

The customer receives the offer for one item, with the price discounted by 5%. They can accept or ignore it, but cannot make a counteroffer. If they accept, the purchase arrives as a regular order on the [Orders](https://docs.droopify.co/en/orders) page.

## Possible errors

If sending fails, the popup stays open and the error message appears.

|---|---|
| **You have not configured the settings of this eBay store for the product region. Complete them in the automations.** | With **Use default message** on, the store has no settings for the listing's region and supplier. Add them from the store settings ([eBay Stores](https://docs.droopify.co/en/ebay-account)) or write a **Custom Message** |
| A message from eBay | eBay rejected the offer and the text explains why. Fix what it says or try again later |
