How Droopify keeps Inventory listings in line with the supplier's product with **Price Monitoring** and **Stock Monitoring**.

## Stock Monitoring

Droopify periodically checks the supplier's product of every tracked listing.

- If the product can no longer be bought, or its shipping times exceed the store's **Maximum delivery days**, the listing becomes **Out of Stock**: the quantity on eBay goes to 0 and the listing stays published.
- When the product is available again, the quantity on eBay goes back to the **Default Quantity**.
- The reason appears in red under the row in the [Inventory](https://docs.droopify.co/en/inventory).

If **Stock Monitoring** is off, the listing's availability no longer changes when the supplier's does.

## Price Monitoring

When the supplier's price changes, Droopify recalculates the selling price on eBay keeping the profit you set: **Profit Percentage** or **Unit (Fixed profit)**, **Price Cents**, **VAT (%)** and eBay fees. The **Purchase Price** includes the supplier's shipping costs, if any.

If **Price Monitoring** is off, the selling price stays fixed even when the supplier changes price: check the **Profit** column, which may become low or negative.

## Where the settings come from

| Setting | Where to change it for the whole store | Where to change it for one listing |
|---|---|---|
| **Price Monitoring**, **Stock Monitoring**, **Default Quantity** | The store's **Prices & Stock** tab ([eBay Stores](https://docs.droopify.co/en/ebay-account)) | **Price** tab of the edit popup ([Edit a listing's price and quantity](https://docs.droopify.co/en/edit-listing-price)) |
| Profit rules, cents and VAT | The store's **Prices & Stock** tab | **Price** tab of the edit popup |
| **Maximum delivery days** | The store's **Prices & Stock** tab | Can't be changed for a single listing |

To change several listings at once use **Edit Listings** ([Bulk edit listings](https://docs.droopify.co/en/bulk-edit-listings)).

## Manual changes and (Edited)

When you change some fields of a listing by hand, **(Edited)** appears next to them:

| Field changed | Effect |
|---|---|
| **Availability** | Droopify no longer updates it from the supplier |
| **Profit Percentage**, **Unit (Fixed profit)**, **Selling Price**, **Price Cents**, **VAT (%)** | The listing no longer follows the store's price settings: when the supplier's price changes, the selling price is recalculated with the listing's values |

**Reset Changes** brings every field of the listing back to the supplier's and the store's values and turns automatic updates back on.

## Notices under the row

| Notice | Meaning |
|---|---|
| "The product is out of stock because it is no longer available or has been permanently removed by the supplier" | The supplier no longer sells or ships the product |
| "The product is out of stock because the shipping times exceed the maximum days allowed by your preferences" | Shipping times exceed the **Maximum delivery days** |
| "Automatic stock monitoring has been disabled by you. …" | **Stock Monitoring** is off on the listing |
| "Automatic price monitoring has been disabled by you. …" | **Price Monitoring** is off on the listing |

Listings in the [Untracked Inventory](https://docs.droopify.co/en/untracked-inventory) are not monitored until you synchronize them. If a listing is out of stock but the product is available at the supplier, see [Listing out of stock](https://docs.droopify.co/en/listing-out-of-stock).
