Pause your subscription for 1 or 2 months instead of cancelling it: you don't pay the renewals of the pause and at the end you pick up where you left off.

## Before you start

- The pause lasts **1 month** or **2 months**.
- You can pause an **Active** subscription, also during the free trial: in that case the pause starts when the trial ends.
- If the subscription is **Expiring**, reactivate it first ([Cancelling the subscription](https://docs.droopify.co/en/cancel-subscription)).
- If your last payment didn't go through, see **Pausing after a failed payment** below.

## Pausing the subscription

1. In **Profile & Billing** click **Manage Subscription**.
2. At the bottom of the plans page click **Cancel or Pause Subscription**.
3. Below the cancellation reasons, after **or**, click **Pause Subscription**.
4. Choose **1 month** or **2 months** and click **Pause Subscription**.

The pause is now **scheduled**: the page shows the date it starts and the date the subscription renews.

## When the pause starts

The pause starts at the end of the period you already paid, on the renewal day. Until then Droopify works as usual.

While the pause is scheduled you can't change plan or cancel the subscription: **Manage Subscription** takes you to the pause page. To cancel the pause click **Cancel Pause**: you pay nothing and the subscription continues as before.

## What happens during the pause

The subscription status becomes **Paused** and no renewal is charged. Every page of the dashboard takes you to the pause page.

| Item | During the pause |
|---|---|
| Listings | They stay published on eBay, but Droopify no longer tracks them: they move to the **Untracked Inventory** and price and availability are not updated |
| Drafts | They are not tracked. Scheduled publications that reach their date are removed: the draft stays, to be published again |
| Orders | eBay orders are still saved, but automatic orders don't start. Aquiline Tracking codes already created keep being updated |
| Credits | **Monthly Credits** are not recharged: they come back at the renewal |
| Operations | Creating drafts, publishing, editing listings or using AI is not possible |

A blocked operation shows the message **The operation was not completed because your subscription is paused. End the pause to continue.**

> **Note**:
>
> During the pause Droopify doesn't update your listings. If a supplier product runs out or changes price, the eBay listing stays as it is: if you want to avoid sales, manage them directly on eBay.

## Ending the pause early

On the pause page click **End Pause**: the renewal is charged right away and the new period starts today. If the card is declined the pause stays active and you see **The payment failed. Please check your card details or try a different payment method.**

## End of the pause

On the date shown the subscription renews by itself and the status goes back to **Active**. Listings still active on eBay are tracked again automatically, up to the **Inventory capacity** of your plan.

If the renewal payment doesn't go through, the status becomes **Payment Failed** ([The subscription payment was not successful, what should I do?](https://docs.droopify.co/en/the-subscription-payment-was-not-successful-what-should-i-do)).

## Pausing after a failed payment

1. On the **Payment Failed** page click **End or Pause Subscription Now**.
2. Below the reasons, after **or**, click **Pause Subscription**.
3. Choose **1 month** or **2 months** and click **Pause Subscription**.

The failed payment is cancelled and the pause starts right away. At the end of the pause the renewal is charged automatically and the new period starts that day. If the payment fails again at the end of a pause, you need to pay the pending invoice before you can request another one.
