# How to install the Competitors Scanner

> How to install Droopify's free Competitors Scanner from the Chrome Web Store, pin it to the Chrome toolbar and run your first scan on eBay.

At the end of this procedure the Competitors Scanner is installed in Chrome and the **Analyze Competitor Sales** button appears on eBay.

## Before you start

- You need Google Chrome on a computer.
- The extension is free and you don't need a Droopify account.

## Installing the extension

1. Open the Competitors Scanner page on the Chrome Web Store: [eBay Competitors Scanner](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ebay-competitors-scanner/hdidgflpleegplekkilabefbgbgphlef).
2. Click **Add to Chrome**.
3. In the confirmation window click **Add extension**.
4. Optional: click the extensions icon (the puzzle piece) at the top right of Chrome and pin the Competitors Scanner, so it is always in the toolbar.

## Running your first scan

1. Open a supported eBay site (for example ebay.com or ebay.co.uk).
2. Open a product page and click **Analyze Competitor Sales** at the top, or use the scan button on a search result card.
3. The window with the seller's recent sales opens.

## Updating or removing the extension

Chrome updates the extension on its own. To remove it, open the Chrome extensions menu, choose the Competitors Scanner and click **Remove from Chrome**.

## If the button doesn't appear

1. **The page was already open during installation**: reload the eBay page.
2. **The eBay site is not supported**: check the list in [Competitors Scanner](https://docs.droopify.co/en/competitors-scanner).
3. **The extension is turned off**: open Chrome's extensions page and check that the Competitors Scanner is on.

If the problem persists, contact support with the eBay site and the page where the button doesn't appear.
