# Editing your profile

> How to change your Droopify username and profile image from the Edit Profile popup: fields, username rules, image upload and possible errors.

With the profile edit popup you change the username and the image you see at the top right of the dashboard.

## Opening the popup

- In **Profile & Billing**, in the **Your Profile** panel, click **Edit Profile**.
- Or open the profile menu at the top right and click **Your Profile**.

At the top of the popup you see a preview with image, username and email, which updates while you edit the fields.

## Popup fields

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Email** | The email of your account. It cannot be changed |
| **Username** | From 6 to 30 characters: letters, numbers and spaces only |
| **Profile Image URL** | The web address of an image, starting with `http://` or `https://` |
| **Upload Image** | Drag an image or click to choose it from your device. PNG or JPEG only, one file at a time |

The image is required: you need a valid URL or an uploaded file. If you upload a file, it replaces the URL.

## Saving the changes

1. Change the **Username** and, if you want, the image.
2. Click **Save Changes**.

**Profile changes have been saved successfully.** appears, the popup closes and the new name and image show right away at the top right.

## Possible errors

| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| **The username entered is not valid. It must be 6 to 30 characters long and can only contain letters, numbers and spaces.** | Use 6 to 30 characters and remove symbols and accented letters |
| **The profile image URL entered is not valid. Please check and try again.** | Enter a URL starting with `http://` or `https://`, or upload a file |
| **An error occurred while uploading the profile image. Please try again.** | Try again with a lighter PNG or JPEG file |
