How to remove the eBay sponsorship from a single Inventory listing with the **Remove Sponsorship** popup.

## Before you start

- The green **Remove Sponsorship** button only appears on sponsored listings, recognisable by the **Sponsor** label under the title.
- Removal applies to the whole listing, with all its variants.
- To remove the sponsorship from several listings at once use **Manage Sponsorship** ([Manage the sponsorship of several listings](https://docs.droopify.co/en/manage-sponsorship)).
- If automatic sponsorship is active for the store, new listings will keep being sponsored: you can change it from the store's **Automatic Sponsorship** tab ([eBay Stores](https://docs.droopify.co/en/ebay-account)).

## Removing the sponsorship from a listing

1. In the [Inventory](https://docs.droopify.co/en/inventory) click the green **Remove Sponsorship** button on the listing row (for listings with variants, on the group row).
2. The **Remove Sponsorship** popup asks for confirmation: "Are you sure you want to remove the sponsorship from the selected listing? The advertising campaign on eBay will be stopped.".
3. Click **Remove Sponsorship**.

## What happens next

- "The sponsorship of the selected listing has been removed successfully." appears. If eBay doesn't accept the removal, the popup stays open and shows the error message.
- The **Sponsor** label and the **AD** line in the **Profit** column disappear, and the green button goes back to **Sponsor** ([Sponsor a listing](https://docs.droopify.co/en/sponsor-listings)).
- eBay stops the listing's advertising campaign.

> **Note**:
>
> Even after the removal, a sale may show as sponsored and carry the sponsorship fee. eBay credits the sale to the sponsorship if the customer had opened the listing from the sponsored ad before the removal, even days earlier.
