# Delete a listing

> Delete a listing from the Droopify Inventory with the Delete Listing popup: from both eBay and Droopify, or only from Droopify keeping it on sale.

How to delete a single listing, from both eBay and Droopify or only from Droopify, with the **Delete Listing** popup.

## Before you start

- Deletion applies to the whole listing, with all its variants: you can't delete a single variant. To stop selling a variant, set it to **Not available** ([Edit a listing's price and quantity](https://docs.droopify.co/en/edit-listing-price)).
- If the red button is disabled and the row is greyed out, an operation is already running on the listing.

## Delete only from Droopify (not from eBay)

| Tick **Delete only from Droopify (not from eBay)** | What happens |
|---|---|
| Not ticked | The listing is removed from eBay and deleted from Droopify |
| Ticked | The listing stays on sale on eBay but disappears from Droopify: Droopify no longer updates its price and availability |

Deletion cannot be undone.

## Deleting a listing

1. In the [Inventory](https://docs.droopify.co/en/inventory) click the red **Delete** button on the listing row (for listings with variants, on the group row).
2. In the **Delete Listing** popup choose whether to tick **Delete only from Droopify (not from eBay)**.
3. Click **Delete Listing**.

The same button is in the [Untracked Inventory](https://docs.droopify.co/en/untracked-inventory), for listings not synchronized yet.

## What happens next

- When the deletion is done, "The listing has been deleted successfully." appears and the table refreshes.
- If the deletion fails, the popup stays open and shows the error message: the listing stays in the Inventory.

## Possible errors

| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| **The selection is not valid. Select at least one item and try again.** | Reload the page and try again |
| eBay message | eBay didn't accept closing the listing: try again later, or end it on eBay and then delete it only from Droopify |
