# Cancelling the subscription

> How to cancel or reactivate your Droopify subscription from the billing portal and what happens to eBay stores, listings and credits when it expires.

You cancel or reactivate your Droopify subscription from the billing portal, starting from the plans page.

## Before you start

- Cancelling is not immediate: you can use Droopify until the end of the period already paid.
- If you just want to spend less, you can move to a smaller plan instead of cancelling ([Changing plan](https://docs.droopify.co/en/change-plan)).

## Cancelling the subscription

1. In **Profile & Billing** click **Edit Subscription**.
2. At the bottom of the plans page click **Cancel your subscription**: the billing portal opens.
3. Confirm the cancellation in the portal.

The plan status becomes **Expiring** ([Plan and subscription](https://docs.droopify.co/en/subscription-and-plan)).

## Reactivating the subscription

While the status is **Expiring**, the same spot of the plans page shows **Reactivate your subscription**.

1. Click **Edit Subscription** in **Profile & Billing**.
2. At the bottom of the plans page click **Reactivate your subscription**.
3. Confirm in the billing portal.

The status goes back to **Active** and the subscription renews as usual.

## What happens when it expires

When the paid period ends, the subscription expires:

- the dashboard is no longer available and you are asked to choose a plan;
- your eBay stores and Amazon accounts are disconnected from Droopify;
- the listings of the disconnected stores no longer appear in **Inventory** and Droopify stops updating them;
- **Monthly Credits** drop to zero, while **Purchased Credits** are kept.

To use Droopify again, choose a plan again and reconnect your eBay stores ([Connecting an eBay store](https://docs.droopify.co/en/add-ebay-account)).
