# Connect an eBay store

> How to connect an eBay store to Droopify with Add eBay Store, what happens if another user already connected it and how to fix connection errors.

At the end of this procedure the eBay store appears on the **eBay Stores** page and you can create drafts and publish them on that store.

## Before you start

- You need the username and password the store uses to sign in to eBay.
- The number of eBay stores you can connect depends on your plan: see [Prices](https://docs.droopify.co/en/prices).
- The region where the store was created must be one of the regions Droopify supports.

## Connecting the eBay store

1. Go to **Settings** > **eBay Stores**.
2. Click **Add eBay Store**: the eBay sign-in page opens.
3. Sign in to eBay with the username and password of the store you want to connect.
4. Authorize Droopify on the eBay page.
5. eBay brings you back to **eBay Stores**, where the store appears in the table.

## What happens next

- Droopify reads the store data automatically: account type, seller level and selling limits appear in the table within a few minutes.
- The listings already on the store are read, and those not managed by Droopify appear in [Untracked Inventory](https://docs.droopify.co/en/untracked-inventory).
- Settings per region and supplier are created on their own with the first draft for that pair, or you can add them right away: see [eBay Stores](https://docs.droopify.co/en/ebay-account).

## Logging in again to a connected store

If the eBay login has expired, the store row shows **Your login session has expired** and the **Log In** button. Click **Log In** and repeat steps 3-5 signing in to eBay with that store's account: the store is connected again with its drafts, listings and settings. If you sign in to eBay with another account, **Could not reconnect the eBay store because you signed in to eBay with a different account. Sign out of eBay and try again by signing in with the account of the store you want to reconnect.** appears.

## Store connected to another user

An eBay store can be connected to only one Droopify account at a time.

- If the store is connected to another Droopify account, **eBay store already associated with another user.** appears. The store must first be deleted from that account ([Delete an eBay store](https://docs.droopify.co/en/delete-ebay-account)), then you can connect it.
- If the store was connected to another account in the past and you are on the free trial, **eBay store previously associated with another user: you cannot connect it during the trial period.** appears. You can connect it after the trial ends, with an active subscription.

## Possible errors

| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| **You have reached the maximum number of connected eBay stores.** | [Delete](https://docs.droopify.co/en/delete-ebay-account) a store you don't use or move to a plan with more stores |
| **This eBay store's region is not supported.** | The store was created in an eBay region Droopify doesn't handle: use another store |
| **Authorization expired, please try again.** | Click **Add eBay Store** again and complete the sign-in without waiting too long |
| **Error connecting the eBay store.** | Try again; if it happens again, contact support |
| **eBay returned an invalid response. Please try again in a moment.** | Wait a few minutes and try again |
| **An unexpected error occurred while connecting the eBay store.** | Try again; if it happens again, contact support with the store name |
